Livin' up to the Hype?

A couple days ago I was asked the question, "Will the Twins live up to the Hype?" I didn't really know to respond because I didn't know how to define "the hype." If "the hype" meant winning the division and possibly an appearance in the ALCS, I would have responded with a resounding YES! But the questioner didn't mean winning the division or getting to the ALCS, he meant the World Series; saying that living up to "the hype" meant being the second best team in baseball. The Twins very well could be the second best team in baseball but to pronounce them as that this early in the season is premature, not to mention pointless. I am just going to sit back, let Gardy and Bill Smith work some magic, and watch some good baseball. It is an exciting time to be a Twins fan, lets not spoil that excitement with predictions, questions of "hype" and unfair comparisons. Lets just take it day-by-day and if in the end the Twins are there, lets rejoice. If not, lets still rejoice because we have the best player in baseball, one of the most efficient and consistent franchises and a brand new beautiful stadium. And we are 5-1.
